Conservative Therapy
Most patients with degenerative spinal conditions do not require surgery. Conservative therapy is almost indicated prior to even considering the option of surgery.

Conservative treatment generally is initially directed by one's primary care physician and usually includes one or more of the following modalities:
  • Rest
  • Ice and/or heat (depending on the type and timing of the injury)
  • Non-steroidal antiflammatory drugs (NSAIDs)
Further information on spinal treatments coming soon.  Please check back.

Also, please check out the Resources section of our site for Pre-Operative and Post-Operative back surgery instructions.
