About Mary J. Meaux Manuel, PA-C
Mary was born and raised in Abbeville, Louisiana. She attended undergraduate school at the University of Southern Louisiana. While at USL, she worked as a student athletic trainer. In 1992, she graduated in Health and Physical Education, with an emphasis in Sports Medicine, and became certified as an athletic trainer.
She attended graduate school at Clemson University and worked as an athletic trainer for the University. In 1995, she graduated with a Masters in Education in the Counseling Program with an emphasis in student affairs.
Thereafter, she worked several years as an athletic trainer in both the college setting and the private sector. In 2000, Mary attended the University of Alabama, at Birmingham studying in the Surgical Physician Assistant Program.
In 2002, Mary returned home to Lafayette. She has worked with Dr. Appley at Acadiana Neurosurgery since that time. She is glad to reside in Cajun country with her husband and son.
Mary is board certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. She is licensed by the Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners. She is a current member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, Louisiana Academy of Physician Assistants, and the Acadiana Physician Assistant Society.
